Flight advice for the old flight to Tokyo:
Try to get an aisle seat. Watch lots of movies.
Try to sleep on the flight back as opposed to over there - at least that seems to nullify the jetlag for me..
Japan is one of the most awesomest places. SOme tips:
Don't eat in public. Public trashcans are essentially non existent. Be prepared to stand stupidly in front of subway train signs as you try and figure them out.
Learn how to say "Sumimasen." Alot.
Convert from Yen to dollars: roll back decimal point two places adn you are beasically there.
Things to ponder while there: Why do the english train announcments have british accents? How can people be so zoned out on a commuter train. Why are used 80's american rock t-shirts selling for $120? (harajuku)
Recognize foreign tourists: They will be the loud ones. Yourself included. One of the quitest countries I have ever been to.
Try coffee from a can at a vending machine. Eat at Moss Burger. Try to attend a Sumo wrestling match.
Be careful of taking pictures of buddhist monks looking for alms on the street. I got yelled at by one for taking his picture, which was oddly un-buddhist. However, later, other monks were cool. Even went to dinner with one monk, who drank whiskey shot for shot with me and introduced me to his girlfriend. Discovered how cool buddhism was.

Awesome BlueOne, appreciate it.
I'm staying with a friend who has lived there for a year, so shouldn't have any trouble getting around - it's like a free tour guide.
His girlfriend is Japanese and seems very excited to have a guest coming, has tons of stuff planned for us and even my friend said he's excited for many of the things he'll be doing for the first time.

Where are you planning on going in Ye Old Land of the Rising Sun?
- mg330
Well, we'll be in Tokyo, but planning to go somewhere on the Izu Peninsula coast, as well as Kyoto, as well as spinning a bottle, waiting for the direction it lands, and seeing how far $50 will take us in that direction.
Might also go climb Mt. Fuji.

Is it legal to read porno on a plane?
- TheBlueOne0
In Japan? Sure.

What airline you flying?
- mg330
United. Slummin' it in economy, couldn't afford the $5,000 jump in price to ride business class.
First class tickets were between $12,000 and $17,000
