Real nice, and nice work as well.
The nav throughout the site is a bit hard (well for me)

lekker, really like it and the nav

The RDM identity work is nice.

I would have done it in Flash. I just assumed you had no content on there, as 5 of 6 clicks got me nothing but a white bg.
The design is interesting, but I HATE html and how it loads inconsistently.
I'd think about remaking it in Flash - if I were looking to hire you I would have left after the first 2 clicks (and I have a cable connection).

Love it.
Brilliant implementation of html grid and effective presentation of a solid volume of strong work.
Original and practical - not every day I see that!
My only quibble - perhaps some elements of the navigation could be a bit more prominent? But really, 'tis only a quibble.

(Jul 19 06, 04:11)With all respect, I'd be completly underwhelmed if this was flash, and the low-fi of it, it what makes it. I don't think he should redo this at all.
I love it, and the work is great, and it shows a grasp of HTML which a flash site does not.
I was compelled to "view-source". Make it complient, and you're really on to a winner.

@mbr: I hate having a preloader every time I click on something in a flashsite ;). I thought about preloading the images, but that would make one hell of a download when you enter the site. IMO this was the best solution.. although I can understand your point about people closing the site when the content isn't provided instantly.

really lovely work and i quite like the nav as well.
one small thing, assuming this isn't intentional (in which case disregard), but plagiarism is spelled plagiarism. i think...
:l
that's the only thing that struck a bad chord with me, though! all in all really solid.

Maybe set a low-source "loading" image... Like a 2-colour gif just with the word "loading" tiled or something.
- paraselene0
that ocw book is gorgeous.

the next and previous are the wrong way round for me but I really like it on the whole. Flash my arse! It's fine in html ya dobbers.

it may take a time to load because yr loading all content at once into the array, you might get on well with AJAX as you know JS (and PHP?) and you'll be able to reduce the load time then.
good stuff
