and remember once tyou have them basically arranged, you still need to drag the non-primary display boxes in the Displays Control Panel little bits up-down-sideways so that a window sitting partially across two displays will line up exactly... whether its a display sitting next to, above your main display or a combination of the two...

isnt that mirroring? or what are you trying to do exactly? partial overlap of screens of different pixel size?

no it won't mirror, both the apple display and cintiq will be connected to a powermac (or whatever i hope will be released in 3 weeks) and the cintiq is recognized as a regular display, most of my friends who use one use it by itself.
the only thing i need to know is if dual screens on osx can be organized vertically rather than horizontally in the preferences.
does that make sense ? o_O
if anyone running os x and working with 2 screens could check, that would be great..

love you slappy
thanks ribit too

used to run two monitors vertically on my powerbook.
you can drag the second monitor postion around in the display prefs, you can even off set on of the monitors...

oh... good to know.
i never worked on 2 screens, which is a bit crazy, so i really can't wait to spread a bit.only curious about how "unconvenient" it will turn out to switch back and forth from the pen/cintiq to the mouse/display... it will take a bit of tweaking i guess.

oh i thought you meant 'on top' like in the same place... you can drag the displays to any location relative to each other on Mac (I thought on Windows too? surely with add-ons)

i have 2 20" widescreens 1 portrait to the left, 1 landscape to the right. both 1680x1050
the portrait side is GREAT for print work
organize them however you like, tis great fun
