I have a PDF, to be printed in a magazine, provided to me by a vendor.
I want to open the PDF in Photoshop and make my store's logo bigger... I know I can do this, and I know how... Here's the part I don't know..
If I open a PDF created in Quark or InDesign (not sure which) in Photoshop and re-save it.. Does it degrade the quality for print?Thanks for any knowledge on the subject.

If your PDF is print quality and if your logo is an .eps then open that particular page in illustrator, enlarge your logo and then resave as a pdf, shouldn't lose any quality.

what honest said – on a side note, were you the client for the design in the PDF? Why didn't you have the designer enlarge it? Or is it a mish-mash of logos or something...?
I ask because designers always joke about clients who want their logo to be bigger.

I am an in-house art director working with a clothing vendor that demands they produce the ad. Their advertising guildlines don't match our guidlines. So we are enhancing our logo before it goes to press, without them knowing.
A bit shady, but it is a co-op ad (so we are spending cash too) and my boss is making me do it.

It's all politics. There may be a slight moral question about it, but I know it is good for my brand and it is still going to maintain the integrity of the original design. There. Justified. Where' s my lunch? .. .
