I'm looking for a program that will allow me to keep track of clients, outstanding payments, freelancers, production hours, etc. That sort of stuff. Excel isn't cutting the mustard.
Recommendations appreciated.

is a new free replica of basecamp or at least thats what i hear.
Basecamp is cool, personally I'm not feelin paying 99$/month for full access.
I've just got to install that on my server, but that is what i'm going to use

our agency uses Clients and Profits, but it's more trouble than it's worth unless it's for a mid-sized shop.

Our office uses Basecamp and have no complaints. More for managing your client interactions than the behind-the-scenes stuff. We use custom Filemaker setup to track internal accounting and project traffic issues.
By the way, our office of 15 people doesn't even use the $50 a month Basecamp plan to the fullest.
