My iPod (20gb - Gen 4) won't fire up. I used it until the battery ran out and now it won't do anything. Tried plugging it in to the firewire connector on my mac and into my JBL onStage... Nothing!
Any advice to get it going, I can't work without it... Help!!!
Cheers in advance.

sometimes it takes a few minutes to start up if the battery is completely dead.

Its not even two years old yet, surely it has some life left in it. Its been working perfectly up until today...
Wouldn't you start to get problems before it dies completely???

Try the Disk Utility program on your mac and repair permissions.
Or try DiskWarrior.
Good luck.

@Stoph, even resetting ( hold >> back >>menu+select, 6 secs) doesn't work.
My nano is just 2 months old??
How long does it take to charge an ipod Nano???

New nanos coming soon. November though, later than thought.
