Zidane lowered himself really, & displayed low self control.
serious error in judgement and an unfortunate way to go out.
Like you say the french team needed his energy and presence at the end - that sort of thing can make all the difference in sport at that level.

the footage shows the italian defender givin zizou a huge nipple tweak!! making him angry and after a couple of "kind" words to the italian guy... Materazzi reacting and replying in a way making reference to zizou's mother... so that's when Zizou's nipple won the World Cup!!
