i wonder if when they open your files if that dialogue box comes up
" this doc ..... has a colour profile that does not match the current RGB working space prompting you to choose colour profile -
and sometimes giving you no choicejust a thought...

use these to check if its your color settings.
View > Proof Setup
View > Proof Colorsbig shift when you proof the working space?

would it be any different if you saved it thru photoshop?
or would it be the same as doing it thru illy?

so you are embedding a profile and the embedded profile is the srgb selection?
cause if it's not, that's probably your problem.

i don't think it's the gamma. i can't see how my monitor calibration profile is being written into the files. i can see the difference on my monitor as well.

unless this has changed - might be old:
the gamma on
Mac = 1.8 (lighter)
PC = 2.2in levels dialogue / nudge arrow to view how it will darken on pc

all the color profiles are the same. it seems the save for web function in illustrator is converting the rgb color mode to an indexed color mode. i cannot figure out for the life of me how to turn this off.

Don't know if this will help... did you check the web saved files in photoshop on your computer to compare? also, check your colour profile and then check to see if, when production opens your file that their colour profiles don't change (ex. converting to their embedded colour profile).

i'm working on a mac and whenver i save an image for web and send it off to production (on a pc), i notice the colors are washed out, even though we are all using the same rgb values.
anyone know a workaround? i'm sure i'm in rgb and not cmyk and it seems to be only with files from my computer.
thanks
