Anyone got any experience of typesetting business journals (newspapers basically)... I've been offered a job but I'd have to produce 4 journals per month (that's adverts & articles) each one 16 – 24 pages with 100+ adverts in each one!!!

Seems like a lot... is that a reasonable amount of work for one person to be expected to do?

16-24 pages of content PLUS 100 ads, or are they packing 100 small ads into 16-24 pages?

I worked at a monthly magazine right out of school, and we had a 2 person design staff laying out a 100 page magazine each month. With art direction, photo shoots, press checks etc, it was definitely a 2 person job.

Is this freelance or full time? If they pay well and provide benefits, it might be reasonable, especially if it's all templated etc.

The ads are small, 5.5 x 5.5cms or 6.5 x 5cms so pretty easy to do.

I'm used to doing magazines 'cause I look after the one we do here.

It'll be a full time (they currently use a freelancer and are looking to save money by bringing it in-house).
