    Of course I ask ia client their range of comfort working within a potential CMS, XML or an editor like Contribute. Most often, the response is negative.

    This is a question geered towards smaller sites - smaller companies when the budget may not allow for CMS. I agree, the need to update often usually does not exist and the "news section" usually becomes stale after a year.

    But, from my experience, many clients gain a level of comfort in spending some large dollars on a product that they think they have more control over.
