Is 512mb ram enough in a 2.1Ghz G5 Imac? Or should I upgrade?
- timajick0
yes upgrade

Does it ever really hurt to upgrade? I would do it.
may I jump in on this thread, foreverwhatever?
I have an iBook (Powerbook 4,1) that, when purchase, had the max ram it could have (640 MB). Is my iBook too old to have any higher ram thingies for it, or did they make higher ram thingies at some point?

whats the max ram capacity for it?
- mayo0
640 MB. it's a few years old

max out the RAM on your imac to 2GB. you'd be silly not to.

mayo - is it a G3 ibook? that may be your max then. It does seem a bit low though - I've got an old powerbook G3(pismo) and the max RAM is 1GB, so 640MB seems tame.
check your model: http://docs.info.apple.com/artic…
and find out the max RAM at Cruical maybe

how much do you think a 800 mhz, 512 ram PowerMac G4 is worth? 300-400 bucks?
