yes i haven't done taxes for a while. i think i'm going to go to my bank and get a line of credit. i tried before and got denied because i just started my job. the guy said that my credit was good and should be able to get a line of credit. I will try that when i get through my 3 month probation.
This is rediculous.

Not sure I understand this: You had an accountant, and he did your tax returns, but miscalculated by 36,000?
- skelly0
I think maybe he had an accountant do his taxes recently, but before that... not so much.
- flavorful0
Sounds like your accountant had to pay off a bookie.

the amount that my accountant did was correct. she figured i had to pay $7k for the 3 years that i owed. But i owed money from previous years and was $6k so i fgured with the interest and penalties it would be 14k. but i don't understand how it came to $36k altogether. and why isn't that total included in my 2005 return?
- flavorful0
Was on from 2005, and the other from 2005 and 2006 combined?
So you may be recombining the numbers?

i wouldve shite my hands

my 2003/4 was combined and the total was $22k and my 2005 was 14k.
in each statement, they list the amount from the previous balance. so if 2003 i owe 22k, and how come it wasn't carried over to 2005?
doesn't add up.

I hope you at least had some fun spending all that money that wasn't yours. Seriously I owed 11k for not paying one year and almost half of that was penalties.
Donr worry it's only money in the end.

I still don't understand. The previous years you still owe from: you just didn't pay any taxes those years?
- piperboytoy0
yeah, i am feeling less overwhelmed. i will take this as a life lesson and not be foolish with money. I did. i traveled to europe and asian and the US as well. so it wasn't all that bad.
I guess i will go make lemonade now!
- piperboytoy0
no because i didn't know who much i owe. I paid them monthly but really small amount and the amount that was on my tax refund is different from what they told me on the phone. So i'm not sure what to do.
- Rand0
did you think they wouldn't notice that you hadn't paid taxes?

I don't understand anything, but good luck, hopefully there won't be a ima dead 3. or have to pay taxes from a previous life or something

i doubt it would appear in your 2005 return as that it is your 2005 return... more likely to appear in your statement of account
