Another case of scientologist... heh
- Jaline0
Erm, if people went around wearing shirts making fun of other religions (not that there aren't any) then they'd probably get the same reaction.
- Mimio0
Scientologists have something against gays? or being gay themselves?
- Mimio0
Besides.. everybody knows that Travolta is a Herm and fucks himself nightly.

(Jun 14 06, 08:47)Sweetheart... I love you... but you're joking right?
I guess you haven't ever seen the Urban Outfitters t-shirt line of "Jesus is my homeboy" with a picture of a rediculous looking Jesus.
Google religion t-shirts dear and next time, give me a fucking break. EVERYONE'S religion gets bashed, daily, deal with it.

I was listening to the guys interview on KROQ w/ Kevin and Bean (LA DJ personalities) and he said when the elfmans approached him he started to tell them your in a cult not a religion and thats when jenna asked if he rapes babies... hahaha what the!
- Jaline0
I said 'not that there aren't any' and was specifically thinking about those homeboy/girl shirts. Plus, i think people would perceive the gay ones more offensive b/c tha's just how people are nowadays.
I guess I just think it's pathetic how people feel the need to bash certain religions when they all start off in a similar way.
I'm not religious anyway.
- Jaline0
but I do agree that scientologists in the public eye / celebrities are crazy.
- Jaline0
garett, you sure sound like JazX.

Garett West the key phrase in Jaline's post was:
"(not that there aren't any)"
ie she was stating the t-shirts that mock other religions DO exist. She didn't say there aren't any she said "NOT that there aren't any"
Even if you had read correctly you say that these t-shirt featured ridiculous images of jesus. Is that ridiculous as in him being featured as an italian renaisance model (is in most christian art) becuase that really is ridiculous I agree, when he was obviously of middle eastern descent.
To me the guys's t-shirt in the link which says 'scientology is gay' isn't offensive unless you presuppose that there is something inherently wrong with being gay. It's really people who protest it who are at fault.

I'd say it's extremely healthy and relevant to attack religious disfunction. Not that this t-shirt does that very well at all.

I have no trouble with Christ, but I have trouble with a lot of Christians.

Jaline I'm not him although I think I know who his nickname here is. My real deal name is Garett West (first and last name) and I live in LA. I'm 100% print and am trying my best in Dreamweaver to make a portfolio for myself. Lynda.com is my friend.
Hey Baskerville, I totally mis-read her post. I thought it said "There arent any". So again, I have to say sorry.

(Jun 14 06, 09:07)sorry about that... funny how Christ is suppose to represent love and he taught loving other and taking care of one another but then Christians are preceived totally different...

from watching only an episode or two of darma and greg i could tell that bitch was just plain crazy.
haha.
and i really like that shirt. i'd wear it.
- t_rock0
it's a C U L T... I mean c'mon... L Ron made it all up. It's unbelievable, not like other "religions" where they have something more realistic like an immaculate conception or virgins waiting for you after you martyr yourself.
- Mimio0
Most religions are personality cults. Hence the need for bullshit and magic ethereal realities.
