i used to do these all the time... you can use acetone or a marker with XYLENE in it. xylene was banned because its toxic, so finding a marker might be tough. the old DESiGN markers had xylene and a colorless blender. chartpak also makes a colorless blender i've had success with. i've only found those at michael's in the woodcrafting aisle.
i might have an extra unused design one from when i cleaned out the art store at home if you want it. i haven't been doing any of this for awhile.

fuck the blender pen. it does not work as good as if you have a biz license AND are able to find a chemical supply place with xylene..
banned? i derno (i got a huge huge bottle of it not too long ago in AZ), maybe. if it is the case, i will soon be offering mason jars of the chemical for all to buy!
it's the only thing that works really really good.

i used to use clear lacquer varnish (spraycan) for this... clean and works really well.
