    hello
this CEO of a magazine company in Kuala Lumpur called me and ask me to give her a good price on my prints. but she only needs the high-res files. and she will print them on posters and postcard.
i'd like to know which is better? to charge her a flat rate and have no control on her future use, or to charge her a different rate with commision for each poster/postcard/whatever she is producing?

so that you have full control. why dont you ask her for the size, then just send her the tiff file @ 300dpi for postcard size??

$$ will depend on how many postcards she will be printing...

    royalties my friend

i do apparel design for colleges and the day to day inter-design is a flat hourly fee but on projects that will be resold such as championship or tournament shirts i receive a royalty for each piece printed on top of my fee

think about it 6 hours at 50 bucks is only 300 dollars

but if she prints 1000 shirts and sells them for 25 thats 25000 dollars of income minus 3 for the shirt and 2 for the printing she is making just under 20 grand paying off product, production and design

so get a flat fee per piece

(you make more money that way)
