we used to just shave ours.
she was a tortoiseshell persian and we'd leave the ruff around her face and little boots on all her feet and a pompom at the end of her tail.
she looked like a little drunk lion when she'd come home from the grooming session all fucked up on ketamine.

Customizing toys which people call loved ones.
It's not as scary as "regular" castration though.
Humans are hideous monsters.

yes, I agree, hideously over dramatic

Hey, cats are cool, cutting balls off not so much. KK?

I once carried my gf's cat to the vet. Helped hold him (it?) while tranquilized.
That wasn't a cool thing to do to a "friend".

if i were a cat i would totally understand that in order to keep me from getting matted and itchy in my old age in the blistering summer heat, once a year i would be given a very powerful drug which put me out of commission for an hour or so that the vet might shave my tummy and make life better for all concerned and also provide much domestic comedy as i tried to go up and down the stairs while completely fux0red.

I took my cat to the Vet once.
Went to collect it latet that day and the nurse behind the counter went to fetch 'Morris' for me.
She comes back with 24 Guinie pigs selotaped toghether in the shape of a cat!
I said "Thats not my cat, its 24 Guinie pigs selotaped toghether!"
She said: "Who the Vet?"

(Jun 8 06, 03:37)We used matches and lighter fuel on ours. No Ketamine either - I was having way too much fun on that to spare it.

the kittens and puppies are cute but I'm not an animal person. Meaning I don't care if someone else has an animal, but I don't want one myself unless it can take care of itself. maybe I'm lazy, but I don't want to have to deal with that. I've got like 7 people in my house as it is!

the whole allergy thing is a bit of a myth in my opinion. We have had a cat visiting us for about 6 months now - he seems to come round for a drink, a hit of catnip and a cuddle. Anyway - when he started coming over my Girlfriend and I were really allergic to him, and thought we shouldn't keep letting him come in, but over a onth or so we became immune and now we don't get any reaction. seems a bit more like nature intends it than genetically breeding hypoallergenic cats no?

I was allergic to my friend's cat and now it's a bit better. I've probably gotten more used to it by now. However, I think it's just how some allergic reactions die down once you start getting older. I'm sure it'll come back if I am around a different animal or type of fur.
