this has been discussed here before but i couldnt find an answer. the image looks alright in photoshop but banding occurs when i save for web. anyone else run into this? any solutions/suggestions?

blur didn't help. noise works but now i have all this noise texture.
it is easier to just kill myself.

increase img quality or just fuck bandwidth all together and save as hi qual png for perfect images

Check your "Dithering" settings.

i am saving as highest quality jpg (under save for web in photoshop) but it doesnt help banding. let me try png.

whoever is saying blur and noise better be taking the piss because these both destroy image quality

I thought dude was talking about the ever banding gradient in PS, which adding slight amount of noise will resolve... all I read was the title.
I've never had any issues with banding in my images.
