My new site - stripped down to basics. Would love some feedback.
Oh, still adding content.

btw nice work

Don't use that bevel thingy on mouse-over. Just assign different background colours for each link, and it'll look great.

I like how when you click 'person' and the first image you get is of a motorcycle...

nice, just one pet peeve of mine
Use this in the href onfocus="this.blur()"

Thanks peeps! That was fast.
The person section is actually about me as a person an the things in my personal life, rather than just people.
Last two sites where all flat colour, im trying to mix it up, but yeah, all comments are good.

Love it. Not at all too simple, imo.
I'd question the worth of an RSS feed at this stage (ie. don't make a deal about it 'til you have content!).
Pad out the 'consumer' section, so that it doesn't look like your work (ie. have a picture of your favourite ice cream, socks wer*)
Personally, I quite like the bevel buttons - though I think they go too white near the top, but hey, what do I know?
Wer, I think it works very well on a human level - you may not have reams of work on there - but you look like one of the good guys.
Good luck!
*wer = my new net acronym, meaning "What.Ev.R", ie a youthful expression of 'etc.et.era', or 'regardless' - "I'm sooo cool, wer"
ok, maybe it doesn't work.
but it really does.
Try it in for yourself, why not?
'Wer'.

Thank you very much. Yes, need more content, and im just making a rss bit in the admin for the site so i can update it from anywhere. Just want to share my world.

Like the work. The buttons are horrible though. Some other way of highlighting the sections would look far far better imo.
And I don't like the indent for the work either. If it's flush at the top keep it flush at the left too.

The buttons. Im not sure. Ive tried alsorts, lots of flat versions and im thinking these ones are the ones that stand out.
Cant we break a few rules?

I like the buttons. different.
stands out from the other highlights

(Jun 6 06, 07:40)I agree with skt.
The buttons really clash with your style of printed work (which is brilliant, btw).
I say not simple enough, make the over status white.

colour the type, rather than have a big background rollover?

If you followed everyones advice you'd have a dogs dinner.
It's ok as it is, you can't design by commitee
