I have used a wacom tablet a couple times, but just recently started a new job and everyone uses the cintiq's. I am not yet used to it, but guys love them. I dont think best suited for illustrator, or for alias, corel painter, and photoshop.

After you get used to tablets it's a delight working on one. I tried the screen a couple of times and it'll probably be even more rocking after that first initial period.

Had one for over a year, and it's amazing. I'm not a matte painter, but I do a butt-load of concept design and art direction on it, and I have to say that it's paid for itself 10x over simply in terms of time spent. No more scanning of sketches, or crazy wrist-bending yoga poses.
Get it.

That size is all I use. No need for a mouse and the ratio is relative to the screen. No more writers cramp.

I have one but sadly haven't had time to use it yet... The 21UX is the first of this type considered good enough to replace conventional 21" Wacom tablets (or large vellum sketches) in the car design industry.

Saw it for the first time today. I want one, but it's a whopping 2k.

If you're looking to do illustration on it make sure you have another monitor whose colors you've calibrated to the best of your ability because I hear a lot of people saying the 21UX has color calibration issues.
I lust after this thing, but 2 large is just too high a price tag for me. I know a dude who insists that he has insider knowledge that cheaper, better competitors to the Cintiq are right around the corner. I certainly hope that's the case.
- certainly doesn't have the contrast of conventional displays. Early ones have a slightly milky sheen to top layer.ribit

Id drink my own urine after a big night out for one of these.
