After going through a personal tragedy many of my friends stayed away for fear of not knowing what to say or do.

I don't understand that "better stay away" mentality.
People (sometimes close friends, sometimes total strangers) confess some pretty deep troubles to me all the time.
I certainly don't mind it...even though it can be a little exhausting.
and i'm struggling to figure out what makes me so approachable...
