FONT importing from OS9

I(aka my design agency that i wrk at) just got on OSx and have imported fonts that were on the OS9, but now , its telling me in Quark that some files are currupt like helvy. WHAT THE *uck is that all about. is there something I should know?? can i not import any font??

Some fonts will have problems. I have yet to find ways around that. Welcome to OSX, it is otherwise a great place to be...

tell your company to buy you os x version of that font. why are you bothering it?

i'm just an intern that answers the phone and types the emails(and does the web,flash, &print design, all by my lonsome w/ noone to ask)
its to know its not me.......I'll go get his credit card and go font shoping a bit......YEA!! any fonts people are in love with right now???
