Do you target your portfolio to clients, employers or both? Does anyone have separate portfolios for different audiences?

i'll tailor my folio for a specific job.
think of it this way:
your client wants you to produce some packaging and is concerned you don't have experience... are you going to show them a billboard you did?if you've got packaging, you should probably show it... otherwise, sell the fact that you can conceptualize, etc..

i'm a freelance print designer, and i definitely target my book to who will be seeing it.
i either email a pdf of samples that apply to the client's needs, or show them printed work in person in a book i handmade that will fit 10-12 peices of gatorboard...i switch those out depending on who i'm visiting.

What Gucci said. Sometimes you don't have time to re-do everything do you just get rid of a few things here and there or make something really simple for a potential employer to see.
I actually want to make something a bit more professional for clients and employers...such as in PDF or in a separate page other than my web site.
