If your able to drop the Japanese character, I'd work on 1C. Try different Fonts, and treatments of the alternating characters.

4, like the grey one most - but look at different typefaces, that font looks all wrong and badly created, and redraw the chinese/jap character - it's pretty dodgy, get those beziers sorted.
