Orange out of fashion?

Hey guys,
I'm trying to convince a client that an orange (really bright) website is not the way to go...I remember reading an article somewhere a while back that confirmed orange was 1) out of style & 2) not the best choice to use on the web.
Anyone also read that article or have other ammo to use? Or am I just completely wrong about this?
Thanks,
S

orange can be quite problematic when doing cmyk prints or on the computer screen (every monitor is different)

Just tell em they'll love like orange (mobile phones) or tango or something...

orange could cause problems in parts of ireland.

Just give em what they want, but dont put your name to it.
Oh, and make sure he signs a disclaimer saying you told him orange sucks

@mrbee2828: You can hardly call NT an orange site... We are talking completely orange here! And not some highlights here and there. And we're also talking about "where's my sunglasses"-orange.

a true orange is difficult to produce in CMYK, the best I've gotten is 0, 60, 100, 0...

the problem with the web is that you can't ride the fence between #ff9933 and #ff6633.
