What does Microsoft Word give you in terms of layout and design that you can't do in quark?

i am trying to re-create a small catalog that was previously produced in word. the copy/paste doesn't quite work...some information is missing.

thats par for the course with word to quark tyranslation- print out a hard coy and fill in the rest- its the only way

Can't you save as a PDF and bring it in? Isn't Quark Illustrator's retarded little brother?

To copy and paste text I found the best way is to:
Copy out of Word into a txt document aqnd then import/place the text into a text box as if it were an image.P.S I spoke to God earlier and he said that layouts in MS Word was the work of the devil.
