Lucky you. Me stuck at home in front of the telly, watching Eurovision. Correction Eastern Eurovision.
Where's the charm of the 70s and 80s Eurovision gone?

Lucky you! I got the tickets for Radiohead/Beck gig in August, so don't worry, I'll tell you how it was.

saw The Head last week in Amsterdam. New stuff is good, but a bit generic rock. Not the electro Kid A style i've come to . Ho-hum.

I'm quite glad... ever tried listening to 'everthing in the right Michael C Place' while working... or at least concentrating... goes straight off.

I went too!
It was truly awesome. I last saw them in 1998 on the OK Computer tour.
I haven't really listened to that much since. I hate all that Kid A stuff. Their real strength is writing great melodic songs. Their slow songs are my favourite. The new stuff sounds back on form to me.
One thing I noticed watching them live – It's weird Johnny Greenwood always gets so much praise as a guitarist, when Ed O'brien is the real talent. He just doesn't hog the limelite like johnny. He's a great guitarist as well as singing all the harmony parts to Thom's vocals (no easy task while playing!)
Also you forget that their music is really quite advanced for rock/pop. I counted quite a few pieces in different meters a couple in 5/4 in a row!

I last saw them on the Ok computer tour in paris... best concert i've been too...
I had to do a site using jonny greenwoods music... though great i'll get to meet him... but he is a very busy man and only got to talk through his engineer...
why is that... those jobs where you think... this will be it!... and its a let down

I heart The Head, seen em live every time they hit london Since OK Computer. But the new stuff just sounds way too old skool for my taste. I'm sure it'll rock, and the slow one will be powerful. But I really respect a band when they show such brave development, like on Kid A and Amnesiac. I fear another REM diaster story.

saw them by accident in Barcelona before OK computer came out, We just happened to be in town at the same time and they were doing a warm up gig before they started touring again after a few years off the stage. It wasn't a big place, great crowd, not too rammed, still the best gig I have ever been too. Thome York actually apologised at one point for being a bit rusty. I think they have got better and better.
