damn me to death for sending comps to a client, then building the entire site based on their approval.
now they tell me that they cant see the bottom without scrolling on 3 out of 4 of their screens..... damn me for expecting them to open the comp at ACTUAL size and not having it scale to fit their screen OMG - well of course it fits your screen then!
I'm like "well yeah see, you could view the comp and see it all on a phone if you scale it"
I am clearly an idiot. I'll send links next time *sobs*

scale html?
yeah I have said that the budget was based on approval of those comps, am trying to be diplomatic.

How badly does it scroll.
Just reduce the line height and take a pixel off all the margin-tops and Bottoms.

shoiw them some screen res stats and tell them 95% of online viewers will be able to see it all....then let them argue the case for their 14" screens - always good fun.

yep tried all that, they now want the bits that are cropped to be moved to the side. aaah well.

Kidnap their families and then ask they admit their failings.

dontcha just LOVE clients eh? ;)
had shit like that happen a few times.
the best though had to be designing a pretty decent sized site. it had been designed, signed off, then built and was 100% complete.
then the client gets in touch and tells us that we had been supplied the incorrect colours for the whole scheme from some artworker (may i add - at one of the biggest branding companies in the world).
we had to redo all the images, gifs and coloured text on the site.
betcha that little artworker got his ass kicked as we charged the client for all the changes seeing as it wasnt our fault.

Rasko - I've had that exact problem before - I now never send jpgs by themselves for comps/visuals as that stupid windoze preview thing automatically fits them to screen.. same can happen with pdfs, best to drop it on a page & send them a link..
i'll close the barn door now...
