oh I'm sure! It's a gnarly wave/reef...but it looks so goddam perfect...like a better G-Land

my mate was recently there. paddled out at 6-8 foot, took off on a close out (trust me - if you knew him you'd believe me!) and literally ATE the reef.
pretty bad, put him out for like 3 weeks - missed all the trip pretty much.
idiot!

Some of my mates just came back from the contest. They reckon it's heavier and shallower in person!

Im from WA, surfed quite a few big waves over here but nothing as mental as Shippies.
My girl and her family is from Tassie, recently moved over here, They know of you and your bro Stuart, we always love seeing you and your bros work around the place. Good to see you both getting coverage.

always wanted to surf Margaret River...anyone got any pics?

forcetwelve - nah i live in Perth but regularly head south to surf. Its getting harder these days with fuel prices but its usually worth it. Head north yearly to Red Bluff and other spots too.
Ive got pics of Margs, but none worth showing really - id always rather be surfing so usually a "non-photographer" takes the photos and they dont turn out lol.

Gotta say, WA has got to be the best overall wave zone in the world. Big call but easily justifiable...
consistency, power, perfection + sharks, reef and isolation to keep the crowds down...
What more can a surfer ask for?

Yeah but with that we get THE world city waves on the planet and a great deal of drive-time to reach breaks.
But you're right, we do have it very good if you know where to go.
- ap-0
er thats THE WORST city waves on the planet.

Thats why I never did a GAP year in OZ...I knew I'd never flipping leave!

it doesn't matter how many pics of perfect waves you've seen, you're still stoked when you see another one!
nice one, jevad... i'm 'mind-surfing' that one as we speak.
