I know this isn't tech support, but just wondering if any of you fellas ever get a missing font prompt when opening/converting older CS1 files (it's usually helvetica, and even when there is no actual instance of helvetica in the doccument). It's driving us all frakin' nutz here.. heh. Anyone!?

sometimes it's a text box that's gone astray.
it happens all the time that i'm not using times, and sure enough, i get errors for it.
you might not be using the font, but use the "find font" function and see where it takes you. if it points you toward an empty picture box/ text box, delete it – or simply convert it to an "empty container".
Other option: just replace the font with another one
**also done in the find fonts menu**I've also had trouble with a font that doesn't want to go away. period.
let me know if my suggestions help clear up the error – otherwise there might be another workaround.

yeah ive found it happens when you accidentally click a box with the type tool - it converts it to a text box, and even with no characters in it - it still registers the font as being used in the doc.
as gucci says - use find font to change it.

Yes I have had this font issue. I simply relink the fonts and or images when this comes up.
