I thought NT was for like minded individuals to exchange ideas and resources. Discover similarities and common grounds between creative thinking individuals.Instead some NTer's are cluttering their minds with the inconsequential. What are you really achieving with these debates?

I think it's better that people react to what's happening in the world, rather than hide from it. Sometimes discussing or even arguing helps people figure out how they feel about things and helps define what they're up against. Things aren't inconsequential either, that's the battle cry of the hopelessly apathetic.

I think everyone should have an opinion and ignorance and apathy have contributed to the breakdown of society since year 0.
But there's a time and place.

THE FREEDOM TOWER!!!

most people just don't care
i do, i just don't bring it up here, because if people do care, there are far better ways to discuss it than a tiny ass little input box and message board.
there's a time and a place and nt just isn't it.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

I disagree, there have been many a spirited debate on NT that never would have happened in real life.
I don't know anyone in real life who advocated torturing of prisoners in Iraq. But on NT I found a few.
Things like that really teach people a lot about each other and themselves.
