This such a sad story, I feel for you and your wife, and as true animal lover I can only imagine your heartache.
I hope they catch that bastard... god knows half the taxi drivers in Vancouver are utter pieces of shit.

I saw a dog get hit and killed on my street when I was younger ... the driver glanced at me and sped away ... little did she know I was the child prodigy of a used car sales man and able to identify her vehicle by make, model, year and trim level ... BUSTED. turns out it was the mom of one of my schoolmates.
lately been thinking about getting a gun in advance ... don't think i could wait 14 days if someone killed my pup.

Fucking deplorable. Fucking Monster.
Some careless highschool fuck ran over my dog (who survived thank god, but not without serious injuries) and he stopped and apologized keeping me from tracking him down and beating the fuck out of him.
I'm sorry. Such an awful story...

I just got back from picking up her ashes :(
It seems so final now. In a way I thought maybe I would see her again, but now I feel like there is nothing else I can do. I'm helpless... gutted.

this is bad. but the only person your anger hurts is you. Don't let bitterness take over. A solid marriage is more important than revenge. Though i'd be tempted to do some tire slashing if I found out.. The taxi guys have it tough though.. they make no money and give it all to their kids..
