Pretty impressive even though he failed. I think if he didn't do the whole chains bit and tried to see how long he could hold his breath he would have done a lot better.

Yeah but on the commercial for it last night they kept mentioning how Houdini only did it for like, 2 and a half minutes, and Houdini did it with chains and rope.
He probably wanted to show up Houdini and by not using chains people would say "So what?"
Maybe next he will let someone punch him in the stomach.

during the special, they showed him doing some street magic. one of the stunts he pulled out a woman's teeth. he took them and put them in his mouth then when she started freaking out and moving her tongue to where the teeth were, he had her open her mouth and spit them right back into place. it was fucking nuts. can't really accurately describe it.

it was a live stunt. figured they did it simultaneously. much like a sports game.

i was expecting him to simultaniuosly appear in a different location, eg on a near by roof top, or in the crowd - thereby creating an illusion.
sad to see him not succeed. I admire his apperciation for the people of NYC. Given all the city has been through, his post-attempt comments illuminate the strength of humanity.

the thing that pisses me off is prior to the stunt he was promoting it like if he failed, he would drown on national tv. what a letdown.
