anyone near Enlgish football has been talking abouut Walcott for the last few years, he has fantastic potential.
the only reason he has been kept out of the Arsenal first team is because of one of the world's greatest striker's; Henry.I'm so pleased that Sven has had the balls to pick him, rather than listening to the laboured, unimaginative, inept opinions of football's old guard and the generall public.

(May 8 06, 07:26)don't think so. I reckon this has more to do with not having a back-up idea after Rooney pulls out. For a couple of years all he's had to do is line up englands midfield and stick rooney in front of them, in the hope that he'll provide all the magic which will win England the WC. Now Rooney's out Sven has paniced and run to the nearest thing he has, wonder-kid wise, and chosen Walcott in teh hope that he can do exactly the same as he was hoping Rooney would.
