Oh well I'll respond. I like the foreground elements, but the background gets a little too flat. Without competing too much it would be nice to see the background have a little more shape to it and faded back a bit.
Then maybe make Momentum a little bigger in size that the who, what, when, where etc. etc.
Pretty cool though!

Oh yeah and maybe add a car with people with their hands up freaking out to add a little energy and appeal to the "velocity" theme.

The date and time stick out way more than the title.
It is currently functioing more like a postcard and less like a poster.
It doesnt look cheesy, however if you think about it (rollercoaster, momentum) it kind of is.

It could have been better if it was done vertically. But maybe.
You could make the info at the bottom (website, phone #) a bit bigger but not too much.
Also "momentum | senior dance..." kinda get lost in the design.

just put some "lights" on your momentum treatment to brighten it up and call it good
unless you want to treat your type to a nice dinner maybe some merlot?

I had to read everyone's post to pick up on the fact that it's a rollercoaster - I just like to take a quick glance and walk away from it.
The rollercoaster peices are overly abundandt. Ouch - just use one track (or two for compositional purposes if necessary) and the 'Momentum'.
All I'm getting is a "'dusk' rooftop in the city" vibe that's rather chill/relaxed... not 'momentus' -
And please don't tell me that you're going for that backward metaphor of the word MOMENTUM - and opting to use no momentum visually :).
