I went to a D&AD (London) talk tonight with Massimo and Lella Vignelli and was a little bothered by theie stance on there work. They openly proclaimed the American Airlines logo as perfect, without fault and with no need to ever update (and according to them, is the only airline logo to never have been changed). They also slated British Airways in the process. Does anyone find this way of thinking dangerous? Or is it just good old fashioned confidence/pride/opinion?

I guess it depends on how they conveyed it... confidence is fine, but cockiness is bothersome.
