Anyone know how to get directly into a field in indesign?
For example, I know that in Quark if you hit shift+cmd+E you go directly to the 'leading' field in the text editing palette...is there a PDF floating around with that kind of info on it?
thanks

you can creat your won shortcuts in InD...
Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts
clicking"Show Set" will create a txt file that you can print or PDF, also a good way to see what does and does not have a shortcut assigned to it

I'll keep trying.

do you mean Shift+Apple+] and Shift+Apple+[ ?
I'm not understanding the question Jim

i'm not looking to shuffle items, mayo.
i'm looking to get directly into a specific field within a dialogue box without having to use the mouse or tab key.
- mayo0
OH! okay, gotcha Gucci.
HOLD PLEASE.
- mayo0
I take it Shift+option+apple ain't what you're wanting, right? because it brings up a separate box?
- mayo0
sorry
shift+option+apple+J

i don't mind a dialogue box showing up...
as long as it takes me to my desired field.
see... if i want to get to the "space after" field, i'm now hitting cmd+opt+t and then shift+tabbing to get there.
i'd like to shorten the strokes, by getting there directly, n'a mean?
:)
