My InDesign CS (3.0.1) since yesterday decided it won't export PDFs, it just gives me an "Out of memory" message. Oh, and it doesn't display some of the images either.
Has this happened to anyone here?

Disk full? Set extra scratch disk? Buy more RAM?

The harddrive has 18GB empty and I only have InDesign on with 512 RAM.
I think it's just a bug, non?

You are exporting print resolution? maybe try a bit smaller first and found out..

512 is minimum for Indesign
1GB+ for heavy docs.

But it's been working just fine so far and the file is tiny – it's a quarter page advert for a magazine.
Is 512 RAM minimum for InD CS2 or for CS as well?

tried rebooting indesign?

What do you mean by 'rebooting?'

well, quit and start again. sometimes it clears certain caches and log files and what not. it may help!

Check for updates
then repair permissions (unless it's an illegal version)
then trash preferences
then restart holding down command, alt, 'P' and 'R'
then create a new user (pain)
then buy CS2 - seems faster and kills that annoying 'tab' bug where the tabs are invisible

actually this is a known issue, it dependent upon certain fonts and sometimes if you have too much vector information. Nothing you can do about it I'm afraid.

actually I totally made all that up, but you have now probably started to think about other ways to get what you want, which means that somehow, I have put you on the path to the solution.

try printing to the PDF printer instead of exporting, usually works.
