Steve Nash is the MVP of the 2006 NBA Season. He made 2 crucial errors in game 4. Should he have gotten the time-out call in overtime? The rules state, that you can't have a time out called if an opposing player also has posession of the basketball.

Hrm, that works better when said aloud.
Plus ... I think there are a lot of threads about this already.

My newspaper claims that the Lakers are hated by most of the other teams in the league. Is this true?

Only the ones who are afraid to get raped.
- Nac_part20
yes because they are the one of the most storied teams and also have a ton of championship banners hanging in their rafters.
Nash made some mistakes, the first one he admitted to slipping. The second one, no one noticed that when Phoenix inbounded the ball, that nash had pushed off of sasha...then nash goes and runs to the sideline into a wall named odom.
Wasn't smart, he should have curled and held on. Although I do admit I did see Diaw calling for time out.
Oh well, game 5 is tomorrow, and as of right now Kobe is the MVP in this series, well actually I would give it more to odom.
werd.

(May 1 06, 09:40)yes and yes. They are like the Yankees of baseball, the Trojans of NCAA football, the Duke of NCAA hoops, the Devils of the NHL and NE of NFL

(May 1 06, 09:47)I've played Halo before, but never online or anything.
And never good.
Sometimes I'd be on someone's team to kill people, and I'd end up going on a 'killing spree' all the time.
Well, I wouldn't... technically I'd be a 'get killed before I could ever figure out what is going on spree'.

say what you want about the playoffs...Nash can make as many mistakes as possible & so can any other MVP candidate, because its the playoffs and the MVP award is for the regular season. that fact is key.
- Nac_part20
haha i thought you may have played online, because people use that phrase alot that you mentioned earlier

-------------------------------of course, and that is true, but you play the entire regular season to get to the playoffs, and thats when the mvp mentality counts...right?
- ********0
Haha, it's a good phrase.
I heard it this weekend, and thought ... 'Damn, that's a good phrase'
And have been acting like I made it up ever since.

Good game yesterday.
I'm from San Antonio, TX. Lakers is a four letter word around here. I *do* hate Kobe -- because he's SO FREAKIN' GOOD.
Of course, I favor the Suns in this series but damn: Kobe sure garnered some kudos for yesterday's performance.
- jondj240
well...i don't have answer to that.
I think if any player is judged on their playoff performances for the regular season MVP award, then they should change the title of the award and its meaning.
- Nac_part20
what i meant was, that the mvp mentality should also be carried over to the playoffs as well right? im not saying nash didn't deserve it...
Just he should be extending why he deserves it even in the playoffs.

who the fuck is NASH?
