or, shave with cold water while in the shower. it softens up the hair and makes it easier to shave. some shave gels help fight razor burn. aveena (sp?) has some fantastic ones.
also, i would say stop shaving with a machette.

Yea, shave cold in the shower and use special lotion to prevent it with like real sensitive skin.
If too late, lots of lotion seems to help.
Or if you're like me, just wear long sleeves so no one ... wait a second, I've said too much!
