i have an mp3 player scripted into a site. when the player plays the entire playlist it loops back to the first track.
my question is related to data transfer.
once the song plays one time, is that data cached? playing the tracks 100 times or 1 time uses the same amount of bandwidth?
so if someone launched the player and left for vacation...

it should be cached but it depends on how the trach is loaded. if flash calls a php file and then returns an mp3 I dont think it will be cached, if it calls the mp3 directly then it will be

yeah, it's just one long xml doc with the path to the mp3, so it sounds like i'm good.
thanks for the thoughts, undo.

in case anyone cares, when a track plays i'm going to write it's file name to an array. an if statement will check to see of the file has already played once, and if so stop the playback.
clicking any of the buttons (play, rewind, etc.) will clear the array. this way the entire list will only play once, but you can still listen to a track more than one time.
