Hello gentlemen,
I am slowly trying to master the gentle art of 3D modelling.
I want to try my hand at some space ships, but I would love to see some 3D models as a reference...Could you please point your fingers at some great sites boasting a plentora of 3D space vehicles and other flying objects?
Also in-game spacecrafts would be great to see (guess those are also 3D modeled).
Thanks!

Ofcourse, sites like:
http://forums.cgsociety.org/
http://3dattack.net/
http://www.cgchannel.com/
http://www.3dtotal.com/
http://raph.com/3dartists/
http://www.highend3d.comI know those... but these are all very general. Looking for good 3D sites not listed above or aimed at sci-fi...
Thanks :)

Thank you, though it is actually not what I meant.
I am not looking for 'models' which I can use in the 3D software itself as 'pre defined' shape... but really finalised work as example. But my explaination was rather unclear I noticed, so my bad :)
Still thanks though :)

Gotcha, in that case check out:

(he rocks, but it's not 3D)Eric Hansen is one of the best:

He's even got a set of DVDs (so does Ryan Church). Look at the Gnomon DVDs if you want to learn this stuff from the best. Pretty cheap (compared to the cost of software and a machine that'll run it well):
