I just opened a black and white PDF form in Illustrator and I can't change anything on it to a color. I can select the text and boxes but when I click a CMYK color to change it to it just goes grey. The doc says its in RGB mode. I can't figure this out! anyone know what's up??

do you have document color mode checked to rgb or cmyk?

it was on RGB, now i've switched it to CMYK and i still can't get color on this stupid thing. It was a word doc that was turned into a PDF. Now I'm trying to open the PDF in Illustrator and add color...so weird...
