Does anybody know if there is a way to pick up call via skype using a wireless handset on the mac, I have come across loads for PC but not the Mac.

yes. you can w/ a bluetooth headset/device:
http://share.skype.com/directory…you can also select any number you like to have calls sent to you w/in preferences.
