still trying to figure this one out so i know how much i could afford..

count on 1/3 if you are living in nyc

i am wondering if that calculator is correct,..
all you need to do for NY is select NY state and put inyour annual income, semi monthly pay.. than select as NY resident..
i wanna figure out how much i will get taxed per pay check

what i mean is that it took out more than what was actually taxed out from my check i got today.
but idww is correct ...you should be looking at 1/3 or 38% depending...on your salary.

i get about 40% off from my pay. set up 401k and whatever u can to lower your taxable income.
after all the deduction, i pay about 20% of my gross income and 20% into my pension plan.
