it is still in progress. SO the scroll wheel is still to come, as is the loader for the images.
The reason I chose flash and not HTML will be seen later on when it is completed.
hopefully

yeah support for customized scrollbars is really sketchy - that's why most people don't use it.
i think its more distracting than any kind of benefit personally

your work is trendy, flash scroll bars suck, and I hate italians
- Kiko0
wow.

design is like skateboarding. if you don't progress the sport will leave you behind
I still hate italians
- Kiko0
are you trying to say something uberdesigner. Cos I would very m uch appreciate it if you said it straight.
You think my work is old?
- Kiko0
ooohhh.
And I didnt see that nice little touch you added at the bottom of your last post.
Maybe you would like to sit down and have a chat on why you hate Italians so much.
Maybe you got raped as a kid by you Italian dad?

Great comeback.

Kiko,
To salvage the scrollbar issue... simply make your flash movie the real height.. aka 2000px or whatever.. and not 100%. This will allow you to use the browser for scrolling - and let people have their middle mouse wheel.
Also.... your type alignment is all over the board. The horizontal distance from the columns established by your images is different on each project. Additionally, the padding between your Back to Top button and the rule for the next project is inconsistent. It just shows that you layed this thing out by hand in flash. Bad precision.
Nice and simple design though. Clean up the alignments and fix that scrollbar and you'll be aight.

Keep the head high - and remember to take everything with a pound of salt.

Really slow this end. Again, i'd just use html.
Nice work tho, like flirt bobo. Is smart.

I think people have been way too harsh.
The works pretty damn good, the sites pretty damn nice, and functionality... well, all this anti-flash talk, hey, it's not finished, the scrolling, yeah, it's clunky as hell, really bad, *at the moment*, but it was said from the start all that was yet to be finished.
If you can fix that scrolling issue, make it smooth, add in scrollwheel support, thats your biggest gripe done. If you can do all that, I wouldn't worry about going to all the hassle of redoing it from scratch in html, it's nearly there.
Nice work. Keep going.

Oh, one other thing, it does remind me a lot of another site i've seen, but I can't for the life of me remeber what it is... it looked similar and worked in the same way with the very tall, all flash scrolling thing going on, even down to the acceleration / deceleration you've described.

I know you are still working on it but I did notice when I clicked on a couple of the images there was no way to get back to the main list of work. ie clicking on "SMTTUK".
Nice work by the way.
I'm in the same boat as you looking for work. Keep going and good luck.
