I noticed over the past few years that companies I was involved with when they first got setup... we would get snail mail from people trying to market their services to us.... websites, printing, mail labels, promo materials like pens with your company name on it.
I wanted to know where they buy the list of new businesses. I haven't had much luck with finding it. Do any of you know how they do that?

... when I LLC'ed about two years ago... I got BOMBARDED w/Junkmail..... and none of it usefull - just loads of creditline applications and tons of shitty product samples...

omg......ITS NOT FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...
it is not a credit application or anything of the sort....
it is actually targeting startups for financial, legal and technical services at discount rates.

It would be very handy tho...think of all the logos, bus cards, websites people need....
lot of money there i think.
How do we get our hands on these names and addresses?

Companies House is what we call it in the UK, you guys must apply to an organisation when you start a business? try there they usually sell lists of businesses...another good place to look is for recently registered domains (new start ups) and check the whois record for contact details
- kev_charlton0
Do you have to buy the list from companies house then?
- liquid0
recently registered is planetary....I am looking local NYS or NYC..
