What is with the regional pronunciations of this word in the US.
If you have a southern drawl you might call it IN-surance while most people I know just call it insurance.
Strange.

i believe it is called 'dialect'. many people would say you have a distinct one from me.
same could be said for 'tomatoe', whatever you callsugar water w/ carbonation, or the brown water they flavor with hopps.
