We just launched this over the weekend and it is admittedly still plagued by some browser incompatibilities (notably Safari).
Once we get these issues under control, we plan to vastly expand the variety and format potential of user exhibitions. Right now, it's more of a glorified slideshow...
I know that some of the technical implementations may seem inefficient or uneccesarily complex (two-way javascript and flash communications for dynamic data display one one page). Try and understand that this site is a GRASSROOTS effort, and as a result, the implementation is a patchwork of multiple programmers. We hope to make it more efficient in the near future and if you have ideas, please share them...
Anyway enjoy, and be sure to send your feedback.
Love,
Patrick Marckesano

Noticing some SERIOUS lag time on loading the individual artists' exhibitions/synopses/cvs...
(I hate these first weeks in a site's beta debut)

hmm... interested in looking, but not seeing anything (FF mac). looking at your source, everything below the login comment is missing. and there is no doctype declaration on the page, kind of important!

Sorry...
We are having server issues.
Some longer queries on the search engine have been overtaxing our mySQL.
Anyway, it's back up now...
there's a flash SWF beneath the login... version detection via object so it will redirect you if you don't have correct plugin.

Oh,
So the thing I forgot to say was that you should feel free to sign up for a free account and crate exhibitions...

We're getting some nice press on this right now (NYTimes, Le Monde, BBC) so it would be good exposure for your guys' design work.
