CSI:NY is one of my favourite shows, and they did something really clever last week.
One of the main characters finds a website about herself and her boyfriend online, and the first part turns out to be a sex tape. The second is a preview to the next episode, which looks really amazing.

I figured more examples would be thrown at me. It definitely isn't new, but the tv show or franchise that brings it out in the open pretty much wins.

(Apr 22 06, 12:49)Personally, CSI:NY is my favourite because I was able to watch every episode from the beginning (2004), whereas I was probably around 13 years old when the first CSI came out, and I wasn't interested back then. Miami is the worst imo.
There are varying opinions, but CSI (the original) usually wins out because it heavily focuses on cases rather than character relationships, whereas CSI:NY goes right into the characters from the beginning, and that's something I prefer.
Also, there are debates about the best lead male (what about female, people?), and Grissom comes out on top, unless people find his awkwardness annoying. Then Mac wins. Horatio is hardly ever a favourite.

there was a show like 3 years ago that was a mystery or something. there was an entire network of fake websites with hints about it. it was huge. my freidnd was really into it. it was cancled before it finished thou.
lost put out a couple fake websites with hidden shit on them.
this one is just basically an online promo, not really as effective as the ones i listed or donnie darko.
