10.4.6 Firewire/iMovie problem

  Since upgrading to os 10.4.6 I am unable to import footage direct from my DV camera via firewire!!

  I have tried differnet cables, tried the camera on my ibook and it all works fine...but not on my G5 1.8 sp tower since the update.

  System profiler can see firewire running but doesn't think a camera is connected.

  I have searched Google but can't find what I'm looking for.

  Has anyone else experienced this?
